Records for the Magneti Marelli IAW4MV codes in our table name cars from more than one Volkswagen-group marque. This page therefore follows the codes themselves, in the order our table prints them, rather than sorting them by the badge on a car.

Below, a short section on that arrangement leads into the codes, one heading each, and the repair itself closes the page. For engine ECUs from Volkswagen cars more generally, see the Volkswagen page in our engine ECU repairs.

Arranged by code, not by badge

Our table prints a Magneti Marelli code in its first column, in the form IAW4MV.AH, and on that row 036 906 034AH in the column beside it. It prints no car and no engine size.

Those details come from listings that name a code, and across the codes in our table the listings do not keep to one marque. Grouping the sections by car would break up our table’s order, so the sections below keep that order instead, starting from IAW4MV.DR at the top.

If the code on the label is one our table prints, the section headed by that code sets out what listings attribute to it. Where a section also quotes a number, it is the number our table prints beside that code, and the same pairing is on record.

Where a code is hard to read, our technical team confirms coverage for the specific unit instead of guessing.

Testing and repairing a Magneti Marelli IAW4MV engine ECU

Ours is a mail-in service for customers across the UK, so an IAW4MV engine ECU is posted to our workshop. There it is logged and visually inspected, then electrically tested, then taken through diagnostics specific to its fault.

Once diagnosis is complete, we contact you with the outcome and a quote. Chargeable work waits for your authorisation.

Our own engineers then repair the unit at component level, putting right the specific fault, such as dry joints or a failed voltage regulator, rather than exchanging the whole ECU. They work under a microscope with temperature-controlled rework equipment, and nothing is outsourced or subcontracted.

The job is complete only when the unit passes final testing, after which it is posted back. We warrant the repair for 24 months. That warranty belongs to the customer who posted the unit to us and cannot be passed on.

Contact us for a quote through the Repair Form that handles our engine ECU enquiries. For other makers’ engine ECUs, start with engine ECU repairs grouped by vehicle marque, and some further engine ECU types our engineers work on appear in the engine ECU descriptions in What We Repair.

Our table follows, in the order the sections above take the IAW4MV codes.
