1S7F-12A650-DD and 2S7A-12A650-AGA sit in opposite halves of the table on this page, yet the record gives them the same car, the same engine size and the same name. Each is on record from a Ford Mondeo 2.0, and each is on record as an LBO-110 unit. Only the number itself tells them apart.
Our twelve Ford numbers fall into two halves of six, and the details on record for one half turn up in the other as well. Each of the twelve can be repaired at component level here, and the unit you post is the unit we repair.
Two bases, six numbers in each
Six of the numbers begin 1S7F and finish with two letters after 12A650. The other six begin 2S7A and finish with three. Our table prints them without hyphens, so 1S7F-12A650-DD on a label appears as 1S7F12A650DD, followed by the word RAID.
Read the base first. The Mondeo, both engine sizes and the LBO-110 name are each on record in both halves, so none of them can tell you which half you need.
What the Mondeo and its engine size narrow down
Nine of the twelve numbers are on record from the Ford Mondeo: BD, BE, DD and DE under 1S7F, and AEA, AFA, AFB, AGA and AGB under 2S7A. Taken as a run, the record points to the Mondeo Mk3 of 2000 to 2007.
Engine size splits each half the same way. Under 1S7F, BD is on record from the 1.8 Mondeo, and DD and DE from the 2.0. Under 2S7A, AEA, AFA and AFB are on record from the 1.8, and AGA and AGB from the 2.0, AGA as a 2.0 16V.
So a 2.0 Mondeo puts four rows in view, two per half, and a 1.8 puts four in view, one under 1S7F and three under 2S7A. Neither size settles a row, and rows with no size on our record are not ruled out.
Where LBO-110 is on record
LBO-110 is on record with four of the twelve numbers: 1S7F-12A650-DD and 1S7F-12A650-DE in one half, 2S7A-12A650-AFA and 2S7A-12A650-AGA in the other. The name also spans both engine sizes, since AFA is on record from the 1.8 Mondeo and the other three from the 2.0.
If your label shows LBO-110 beside one of those four numbers, the label and our record agree. For the other eight, we hold no settled record of the name either way, so its presence or absence neither confirms nor rules out a match. The Ford number does the matching; the name only backs it up.
Telling rows apart by ending and word
Inside each half, the ending of the Ford number and the word printed after it are what separate one row from the next. On record, PAVE sits beside 1S7F-12A650-BD, PIJA beside BE, RAID beside DD and ROBE beside DE. In the 2S7A half, YBE0 sits beside AEA, 6HNA beside AFB and 3UDA beside AGB.
Copy the word exactly as your label prints it, letters and digits alike, and keep it next to the number it came with. Between them, base, ending and word are enough to pick out a single row.
For 1S7F-12A650-AC, 1S7F-12A650-BF and 2S7A-12A650-AEB we make no claim about the car. Those three are matched on their numbers and words only, and they come to the same bench as the rest.
Our bench process for these units
Each unit is booked in, examined visually, tested electrically and put through diagnostics aimed at the fault you describe, all by our own engineers in our own UK workshop.
When we know the cause, we tell you what it is and what the repair involves; no repair work begins until you approve it. The repair is made at component level under a microscope with temperature-controlled rework equipment, and the unit stays with us until it passes final testing. A 24-month warranty covers the work.
Sending the unit to us
You can post the unit to us from any part of the UK. Before it goes, make an LBO-110 enquiry on the Repair Form, giving the full Ford number with its ending, the word printed after it, and LBO-110 if the label carries that name.
If you know the car and its engine size, include them, together with a description of the fault.
A Ford number that fits neither half is not on this page; look instead at Ford engine ECUs outside the 1S7F and 2S7A run. For a vehicle from another manufacturer, go to the engine ECU repairs page this section of the site starts from, or read the scope of what our workshop repairs first.
The twelve numbers are below, the 1S7F half first and the 2S7A half after it.
