We repair Ford Transit engine ECUs numbered 92VB-12A650-BC at component level, in our own UK workshop. If that number is printed on your unit’s label, this is the page for it.

A Ford Transit engine ECU

92VB-12A650-BC is on record as an engine ECU from the Ford Transit. That tells you which vehicle to expect a unit like this in, but the Transit on its own does not identify it. The Ford number on the label does, and it is what we go by when your unit arrives. A Transit engine ECU with some other Ford number on its label belongs on a different page.

Why the BC ending matters

The 92VB-12A650 part of the number turns up with more than one ending, and BC is the one this page covers. Copy the whole Ford number from the label, down to those two final letters.

If your label ends differently, further Ford EEC-IV numbers are listed on our wider EEC-IV page.

What happens to the unit in our workshop

Our own engineers log the unit, inspect it and test it electrically, and the fault you report guides where they look next. The repair is made to the parts on the board that have failed. We then tell you what we found, with an estimate for the repair, and no chargeable work starts until you give the go-ahead. A 24-month warranty applies to the repair we make.

Sending your Transit ECU to us

Units are posted to our workshop, UK-wide. Before you send yours, open a repair enquiry on our Repair Form, giving the Ford number exactly as it appears on the label and a short account of what the Transit was doing.

If the label is worn or hard to read, say so on the form and type in whatever characters are still legible.

For other Ford units, see our Ford engine ECU overview; we also repair engine ECUs from non-Ford vehicles.

How our table prints 92VB-12A650-BC

Our table prints the Ford number without hyphens, as 92VB12A650BC, followed by the code 2VBC. It is the Ford number, suffix letters included, that matches a unit to this row.
