A customer of ours in Birmingham had problems with his Skoda Fabia 1.4TDi ECU and reported Mass Air Flow sensor faults. Replacing the sensor did not solve the problem and the local garage carried out wiring continuity checks and tested the Mass Air Flow sensor which confirmed the original sensor was okay. The ECU was removed and sent to us for testing.
A workshop in Waltham Abbey, Essex sent an ECU from a 2001 Mercedes SLK320 in to us after extensive diagnostics which narrowed down a no communication problem to be caused by a faulty engine ECU. The customer had returned from holiday to find the vehicle was a non-starter and tried to jump start with no luck. Below are the faults listed to us.
A Fiat specialist in Scotland has sent in a Magneti Marelli engine ECU from a 2001 Fiat Punto. Their customer had reported loss of power and poor running of the engine. Diagnostics showed the following fault code:

This ECU was sent in to us from a garage for testing because the customer reported the Engine light is always on. The garage plugged in their diagnostic equipment and came back with the following code:
The customer of this 2004 Alfa Romeo GT 1.9JTD was having problems with the vehicle starting. Diagnostics showed that the immobiliser was bringing up an invalid login code and not recognising the key properly. They had a new key coded but the fault was still present and the car was not starting so they sent the unit to us for ECU Testing.
The customer reported that he was driving along when all of the sudden the engine switched off and would not start. Diagnostics showed a blown 7.5 amp fuse and replacing this did not fix the problem and was advised that there is possible ECU damage.
Customer sent this Siemens unit to us for ECU Testing after having a exhausted all other options. His vehicle has been running rough and throwing out numerous codes for turbo boost pressure, throttle position sensor and air intake leak detections. The customer said he had the turbo checked, and spent £100’s on replacement parts but the problem was still there.
The customer reported having intermittent starting problems for over a month and then it got worse to a point it would no longer start. He was recommended to us by his local garage who removed the ECU and sent it in for testing.
This ECU failed the customer spontaneously whilst driving. The customer reported the car was driving find when all of a sudden he lost power, when he switched the vehicle off and tried to restart, the engine it would not start. Eventually they managed to start the engine but it was running rough and only firing on two cylinders. The customer sent the ECU in for our ECU Testing + Repair services.
