These units amongst others are becomming more and more popular to us, we have stripped and rebuilt hundreds of these units this year all with similar faults whereby the ABS light on the dashboard stays on. This fault is due to a communication failure with the ABS ECU (control unit) which is built in to the ABS pump. If there is no communication failure, then it will be because the wheel speed sensor reading is failing – again, this is a fault within the control unit.
We are able to fully test, strip and rebuild these units replacing all parts with GENUINE OE parts and offer all our clients a full 12 months warranty. Does it need reprogramming once repaired? – No, other companies you send it to may remove the code which would mean you’d have to recode it again but we are able to test/repair these units without having to remove any code from them so when you get it back you just plug it back on to your vehicle and it’s ready to use!

Every week we get calls from anxious customers looking for a more affordable option to replacing their ABS ECU modules and most commonly it’s the Ford KA using the ATE ABS ECU Module. ATE is the name of the manufacturer which produce the ABS ECU’s but there are other manufacturers out there too.
It is a very common fault for the ABS ECU on a FORD KA to stop working or even work intermittently. Some of the most common faults related to the ABS ECU faults are listed below:
- ABS light appears on dash
- Speedo stops working
- Speed senser communication failure

The problem with the Vauxhall Omega’s is so common, we are actually repairing on average 3 units a week. It is mostly common on the Vauxhall Omega 2.5 2000 model but of course does effect them all through the entire range. When the ABS module fails, symptoms can be any of the following:
- Traction Control Light Showing on Dashboard
- ABS Light Showing on Dashboard

When the ABS light appears on the dash in your Volvo, 9/10 times dealers and garages will put it down to the ABS ECU Module being at fault.. this is because it’s a very common fault with these units.
We can successfully test and repair these units. Most garages would advise of buying a new unit, not being aware that there are companies out there who can repair these modules.

A very common fault which causes a number of issues such as turning engine management light on, lumpy/rough idle, hesitant, loss of power and stalling/cutting out.
We can remanufacture the units to cure any problems the unit is giving you and of course back up all our work with our 12 months warranty but we are only able to repair the units coming from a ‘Manual Transmission’ vehicle. – We’re unable to repair the units off an Automatic A-Class.
We are currently taking a high number of calls whereby customers are experiencing the common miss fire faults indicating coil packs and faulty ECU units. We can repair the ECU units but please understand, once we send it back to you – you MUST change your coil packs (Yes, even if you’ve done so already) because if you fitted new coil packs whilst the faulty ECU was still connected, then the new coil packs would have gotten damaged.
Failure to change coil packs before refitting the repaired ECU unit will result in blowing the ECU out again and may void your repair warranty. So please, change your coil packs before refitting the ECU.
Most common units are the black BOSCH units with part numbers 0261 200 612 and 0261 200 614.. others as well but those are the most common.

These units are virgin ecu’s i.e. not coded and may need coding to your vehicle.
